Look after your heart… The importance of a healthy battery

Posted by Dave 0 comments

A good battery is the heart of a modern fuel injected vehicle.

The same way an unhealthy heart can lead to all kinds of problems with other vital organs, an unhealthy battery can result in all manner of problems from failed or difficult engine starting to faults in lighting, comfort and practically every other system/module throughout the vehicle.

All cars are fitted charging systems that will keep a battery topped-up, but to get the most  out of your battery it’s good practice to give it a mains charge at least once every 6 months as this will also condition the battery, extending its life expectancy.

If you have reason to suspect your battery is getting towards the end of its life, then have it tested. A tired battery should be replaced, especially when winter is closing in!
